What is CoVE?

A CoVE is a government award in recognition of excellence within a vocational area of training. CSM is one of only a few CoVEs to be recognised across the country.

The CoVE award recognises our -

High quality of individual student support Excellent practical facilities and resources for construction training Positive relationships with employers and other partners Tutors, trainers and assessors with extensive experience within the construction industry The biggest range of college and work-based programmes in the region - there’s a course for everyone, at any level Opportunities for our students to progress onto other training programmes One of the benefits of the CoVE award is an additional £300,000 for the college, allowing us to invest in our staff, skills, plant, capital equipment, ICT, digital technology and learning materials - all of which will enable us to enhance the experience of you, the student.
